Our daughter has been dancing with the Maple Academy of Dance for 16 years. She has danced competitively for 12 years. It is rare to find a dance school that can offer not only superior technical training, but also a positive and welcoming learning space for its students. And MAD does just that! While students are offered the opportunity to train competitively or recreationally with the school's knowledgeable trained staff, they are all made to feel part of the team - a part of the family. From day one MAD has provided our very shy daughter with encouragement and support and an unwavering committment to her success. Because of the warm and inclusive environment, she broke out of her shell. She has become a successful competitive dancer over the years. However, we did not realize how much more she would gain from dancing at the Maple Academy of Dance. Her experiences on and off the stage have taught her many things about herself and life in general. All the teachers have become an integral factor or the person she is today. She looks up to the teachers at MAD and they have become the most influential role models in her life. They instilled values of hard work and dedication. Dear teachers of MAD, When I look back on my very first year of dance I look back at the person I may have become if I wasn’t a dancer at MAD. Dancing and having support from my comp team and all of my teachers has given me the confidence that I never would have found. Not only that but each of you have given me many amazing memories that I would not trade for anything. I am lucky I had Miss Ginette to teach me the meaning of hard work and determination. I am lucky to have danced the first of many beautiful dances created by Miss Rosemarie. I am lucky to have had Miss Diana who always put a smile on my face. I am lucky to have received many of Miss Gay’s big hugs and heart-warming talks and lucky to have had Ms Lynn always looking after me and my injuries. Miss Teresa and Miss Antonietta thank you for being there during many of my early years of dance and helping me find my love for dance at such a young age. I am very fortunate to have met and to have learned from all of you. Thank you for all that you have done and all that you give to make the studio the wonderful place it is. Thirteen years ago I stepped into the studio without a clue that I would be where I am today. You all have been by my side as you have watched me grow. I still remember coming to the studio for the first time and auditioning for you. I was so excited to be a part of the MAD family and it seems like yesterday was my first class. Even now after not dancing for many years, the studio still feels like a second home. Thank you for the opportunity to have such an amazing dance education.
